It started with trust in you

The trust was shattered

It was the intense love

That was manipulated

It was the platonic relation

That was compromised

Someone had played a game

And was joined by others

For fun and enjoyment

There were many calculations

That we failed to realize

That we failed to think of

It was a battle of emotions

The battle between head and heart

The head won it all the way

It was a battle of feelings

The battle between desire and wish

The wishes won all the way

The battle was lost

So was the happiness

For some, it was a life lost

For some, it was a life won

For some, it was everything

For some, just another instance

The losers were emotional fools

The winners thought with a logic

The losers were dependent

The winners were happier

The losers comprised self-respect

The winners rejoice their pride
