Thus it flows, in verses, I see myself wrapped within, A fading shadow, I watched myself dim and thin. I poured my whole self into a piece of writing, Spoke even what I never meant to be saying.
All my words, perhaps, were a mistake, Who would read them, I never knew, for whose sake. I walked on, never turning to see my shade, In what trance I was, from myself I strayed.
At which turn did I lose myself, I can't tell, Everyone spoke the truth, so I wrote it as well. Today, I was lost in my own words, a sea, Who were they, who truly read me?
Did anyone ever wish to write to me, too? So I don't fade from memory, I ask of you— Write me again, recreate me from your heart, So I may live again, never to depart.
Not just today, I want to write tomorrow as well, Before I fade, I long to write you and myself— On one page, together, our stories to tell.
