How should I remember 2020?

For lockdowns, sanitizers & masks?

Or for the webinars & online classes

Which tethers me like calves?

Or for the slogan of stay home, stay safe

With endless talks of panic & deaths?

Or for the visuals of poverty & hunger

And the migrants who died on their paths?

This 2020 is brutal & depressing

Heartless & suffocating

Drag me out from this disaster

And let me bloom & prosper

Let me bloom and prosper...
